Good morning, Sweet Town! We're having a little fun with this week's 52Cakes! With summer on the horizon and vacation plans in the works, we're dreaming of African safaris, zoo adventures, and our favorite animals. Personally, I love feeding lettuce to giraffes—such a fun zoo memory! This week’s cake is as delightful as a day at the zoo: this cake is a rich chocolate-almond marble, finished with an Amaretto buttercream. As always, 100% of the proceeds go toward supporting Clyde families affected by the recent floods. Your sweet tooth can make a difference! Bidding is open—don’t miss your chance to take home this delicious treat and support a great cause!

A note from Saint Mark United Methodist Church of Atlanta: About 52Cakes: At Farm to Cake, we are fortunate to be part of a community that values helping one another. While we receive numerous requests to contribute to many worthy causes, it's not always possible to assist every time. This is why we created our own initiative: 52Cakes. Each week, we bake a unique and delicious cake, focusing on its style, flavor, or both. The cake is then auctioned off, with every cent raised going directly to a chosen cause within Haywood County. This year, we are focusing all proceeds on supporting the Clyde community in the aftermath of Helene. We’re also grateful to the platform that manages the bids and collects funds on our behalf. If you win the auction, all you have to do is pick up your cake on Friday morning and enjoy every bite, knowing you’ve made a difference! The cakes are posted on our social media and website every Thursday morning, and bidding is open until 5:00 PM. Instructions will be included.
