Testing can be done at either Beach Side Clinic or Hospital Metropolitano located in Huacas (10min from Palms), by appointment, for est. $115/person. Both PCR and antigen tests are available, but guests need to check directly with their airlines to see what is accepted for entry to US. Testing can be scheduled on site for a cost of $130/person and you have to pay this one in cash. This is our recommended test, as it has the best test turnaround time and is most convenient and reliable. In the Chorotega langue Tempisque is a mystical river that flows both ways. A tidal affected river with a change from 6 up 10 feet of water with 2 complete cycles. Known to be the third most important population status of the American crocodile in the world, with approximately 200 crocodiles per mile at the river. National Park Palo Verde is considered in Central America one of the most important sites for bird watching where species are not only migratory, resident and regional endemic species inhabit these areas for the extended lowlands and marshes. The bird families of the orioles, herons, storks, ibis, spoonbills, warblers, swallows, cuckoos, flycatchers, owls, kingfishers, trogons, motmots, and jacanas are a distinctive jizz out of 350 individuals that can be found in this Evergreen Forest in the middle of the Guancaste province. Jabiru Mycteria is an endangered species where the most favorable status of population is situated inside the protectory area. During dry season streams dry up temporarily and moisture loving water plant are oftenly found in a varied number near waterways. Pollinators and seed disseminators such as butterflies, wasp and a great number of bats increase their activity during this time and become more concentrated in areas where there is water. The Leatherback turtles are one of the last dinosaurs roaming on earth and have an average weight of 500 kilograms and measures nearly 6 feet. There is the Black turtle which measures 4 feet and 100 kilograms and are the most abundant turtle we have in this protected area. The Olive Ridley turtle, the smallest of the three, is only 3 feet in length and weighs 50 kilograms. Turtle watching is guaranteed. Turtle nesting however, will depend on the conditions at the beach due to its natural occurring process--- 7 pm pick up---30 minutes away---$60 pp OSTIONAL NATIONAL WILDLIFE TURTLE REFUGE: Natural occurring phenomena where the Olive Ridley turtle invades the Ostional community. Massive arrivals of turtle fleets will reach the coast and in a time frame of 3-4 days with a number of approximately 200,000-500,000 individual turtles will hit the coast for the marvelous nesting process. Each nesting varies from 50 to 120 eggs, the eclosion process will occur in 45 to 47 days, it’s a breath taking experience when baby turtles seem to boil out of the sand. Located 70 kilometers south from Tamarindo it’s an experience you can’t ignore---7 pm pick up time at palms (unless tide changes)---it’s about 1:15 to get there---$90 JET’S KYS: we can get jetskys in front of the villa and play around, feel the wind and play with the waves- you choose the time - $100 per hour. PANACHE OR LAZY LIZARD SNORKELING SAILING SUNSET CRUISE: 1:50 pm pick up time- $85 pp – None Private tour – 4 ½ snorkeling and sailing up to the northern beaches common to see dolphins, turtles, octopus, popper fish, star fish, manta rays, etc. amazing sunset right on your feet! Food and drinks are included (Get back at 6:15 pm after sunset) 2 HOURS BEACH COAST LINE ATV: Visit like 8 different beaches all along the coast: Playa Flamingo, Playa Brasilito, Playa Conchal, Puerto viejo, Playa Minas, sola, Playa Bahia piratas… hit some mountain on the way back to see some monkeys in wild life. 8:30 am - $75 pp 2 HOURS SURFING LESSONS: We have great surfing beaches & great instructors as well- time will depends on the tide- $60 pp VOLCAN TENORIO RIO CELESTE NATIONAL PARK FOREST: 6:30 am pick up time (beautiful hike to see different kind of nature like: Slots, Quetzals, Tucans, Blue jinn Frog, waterfalls, etc. Also the chemical reaction of the river changing colors to celest… etc. (lunch included) –-- 2:20 minutes to get there - $220 pp. ARENAL VOLCANO DANAUS HIKE & BALDI HOT SPRINGS: The last volcano of five in the Guanacaste Volcanic Mountain Range is located in the limiting borders of Guanacaste and Alajuela. At nearly 4 hours away from Flamingo we direct towards a scenic view of a beautiful lake and volcano where diversity is at its fullest. Once in Arenal, we will hike in Reserve Danaus for 1 hour in the Tropical Moist Forest and encounters with species will be substantial. From the slow moving sloth, manakins, euphonias, warblers, tanagers, boat billed herons, toucans, butterfly gardens, and crocodiles. Baldi Hot springs is located in the foothills of the volcano where we will pass the latter part of the afternoon enjoying the astonishing view of the cinder volcano and enjoying the hot spring pools. Dinner will be served at 6p.m--- 6:30 am pick up --- $220pp SPORT FISHING: awesome chasing marlin, Mahi Mahi, snapper, grouper, great sport fishing around – 7 am – from $450 - $2000 Depending on full day or half day or ¾ of day… SERENDIPITY SAILING & SNORKELING BOAT: It’s an option to go out privately with just your party in a beautiful luxury boat, they have snorkeling gear and fishing as well, it’s about 4:30 hours sailing on the ocean and come back after sunset, very recommended, minimum of $770 until 7 people if its more than will be $110 per person, includes all the food and drinks! SCUBA DIVING LAS CATALINAS: They come and pick us up at 7:15 am or 1:15 pm @ The Palms, hit towards Catalina’s and do 2 dives, 2 tanks, fruit and waters are included--- certified $100pp --- Discover $120pp. COFFEE TOUR PILANGOSTA: Located in the heart of Guancaste province Nicoya is considered to be the oldest city in Costa Rica. Pilangosta is a little town outside of Nicoya that is a privileged area due to its altitude, overpassing the 2000 meters in elevation it’s one of the predilected areas for the production of coffee. Cafe Diría is high quality production area where the altitude specifically helps, giving it a soft aroma, mellow acidity, and sweet taste that prepares a perfect cup of coffee-7 am pick up- $120 pp (we can mixed this with Palo Verde on the same day $180 pp) Lunch included. BEACH TOUR + TAMARINDO ESTUARY: starting out of the beautiful Flamingo bay area situated in a prestigious tourist area we will be going through 6 beautiful beaches surrounding the coast until we reach National Park Marine Leatherback turtles. Brasilito is a small fishing community that host's a big part of tourism in Guanacaste. Conchal beach ranked in the top 5 to go beaches in our country with Flamingo. Puerto viejo calm like a lake but unique with its own, most famous beach for bio luminescent plankton. Pirates bay area has nesting of 3 different species of turtles thought the year, never doubt posibility of observing hatchings at the astonishing beach. National Park Marine Leatherback turtles where se situate playa grande one of the top 10 surfing stops in Costa Rica. Here at the park we will be on a boat cruise for 2 hours in where we will adventure through the diverse and dicidious mangrove forest. The estuary is an incredible sighting area for many different species. It's a main target for the feeding and re production of species in the tropics. Costa Rica typical lunch is included after the cruise in where we will experience a unique Costa Rican gastronomical experience—8 am pick up time--$150pp 2 HOUR SUNSET HORSEBACK RIDING: They will come and pick us up at the palms at 3:30pm at the Palms and take us to Brasilito Beach to start our tour, riding Brasilito Beach, Conchal Beach and Puerto Viejo Beach--- $60 pp. CANOPY EL DIAMANTE: is a little different because you are not in the green jungle, this zip line is mostly with awesome ocean views, great 6 line canopy course, have highest line in CR (1000 feet high, and goes 60 kilometers an hour, superman style), Tarzan Swing and small bungee drop, another cool think about this one is that they pick you up and drop you off by boat at the marina of Flamingo so the ride is a lot more enjoyable by water… $118 pp---8:15 am, 10:15am, 2:15pm. VOLCAN MIRAVALLES THERMALS AND VOLCANIC MUDS--- your certified naturalist will privately pick you up @ 7 am @ your villa, than we head out towards Miravalles Volcano, once we get there we are going to Horseback ride to the Mountain top than we will start a beautiful hike in the forest to visit 2 more wonderful waterfalls that we can swim and cliff jump, once we finish there we will come back down to the casa to have a great traditional Costa Rican lunch, after lunch you will be taken to the Volcanic Fumaroles were you will see, smell, and feel all the process of the volcanic sulfur of Miravalles--- $180 pp---very recommended.
